Feeyd is a platform where users can share information about other people or companies and anyone is able to create profile pages about other people or companies instantly without the need for registration.
The norm in social networks is to create own profile pages that are searched by others if permissions are granted. The concept behind Feeyd is to eliminate the conventional rule of user creating own profile. It can be difficult for people to give up information about themselves; however it becomes easier to gather information about someone else and people become easily ready to share details about others.
Once profiles have been created they can then be claimed by the owners, the claim process is simple and quick and once a profile is claimed, the owner can set their privacy settings.
All information submitted on feeyd.com is available to others for voting. This makes the system open to criticism about its content and to determine the credibility of the information submitted.
The Vote and How it Works:For example:
Johnny wants to add university information for his friend Peter.
Johnny submits that Peter went to Oxford University in England.
At this point we do not know how true this information is.
What happens now is when other people who know Peter visit his profile page have the chance to cast a vote on all the information submitted. Every time a person who agrees that Peter attended Oxford University they can cast a positive vote and if they disagree they can cast a negative vote.
For every positive vote the meter will increase in score and for every negative vote the meter will decrease.
What the results tell us is that it is probably true that Johnny attended Oxford University.
The above voting is the same for information submitted as Girlfriend/Boyfriend, Husband/Wife, Past Relationships, Employment, School, College etc
